They are among the most versatile, cost-effective silicones used for aesthetic modification, lubricity, skin protection, thermal protection, and water resistance.

Innospec offers a full line of dimethylpolysiloxanes with viscosities ranging from 5 to 1,000,000 centistokes. Our Dimethisil® DM range is commonly categorized in low, medium, high and ultra-high viscosities.

Dimethisil® DM-5
Dimethicone

Dimethisil® DM-5 silicone fluid is a low-viscosity dimethicone that can be used in many personal care and cosmetic applications, including hair care, skincare, body care, intimate care, and color cosmetics. It provides excellent spreading and volatility to personal care formulations. Miscible with pure ethanol and mineral oil.

Dimethisil® DM-6
Dimethicone

Dimethisil® DM-6 silicone fluid is a low viscosity dimethicone that is used in many personal care and cosmetic applications including hair care, skincare, body care, intimate care, and color cosmetics. Dimethisil® DM-5 provides excellent spreading and volatility to personal care formulations. Miscible with pure ethanol and mineral oil.

Dimethisil® DM-10
Dimethicone

Dimethisil® DM-10 silicone fluid is a low-viscosity dimethicone that can be used in many personal care and cosmetic applications, including hair care, skincare, body care, intimate care, and color cosmetics. It provides excellent spreading and volatility to personal care formulations. Miscible with pure ethanol and mineral oil.

Dimethisil® DM-50
Dimethicone

Dimethisil® DM-50 fluid adds silky softness to hair formulations, improves spreadability and provides lubricity in lotions, is non-sticky, long-lasting, and improves water repellency. This product is recommended for hair care, skincare, and cosmetic products. 

Dimethisil® DM-100
Dimethicone

Dimethisil® DM-100 fluid has excellent light lubricity in skin care applications, provides added gloss in hair care products, and is used to prevent whitening when spreading stearate-based creams and lotions.

Dimethisil® DM-200
Dimethicone

Dimethisil® DM-200 fluid has standard lubricant viscosity in intimate care products.

Dimethisil® DM-350
