PRODUCT STEWARDSHIP AWARENESS TRAINING
Personal Protection
To ensure that personnel are adequately protected from the exposure of CNI hazards RPE & PPE should be used:
Respiratory protection is required where the exposure limit may be exceeded (TWA or STEL)
Filter respirators using an organic type filter are acceptable according to local use limits
Air-supplied equipment will be required for higher concentrations or for activities where there will be a shortage of oxygen
Chemical resistant gloves made of neoprene or nitrile rubber will give protection where there is a risk of contact
It is good practice to wear eye protection when working with liquid chemicals
To protect the body where there is a risk of liquid splashing use chemical protective clothing.
Note: Contaminated clothing, especially absorbent materials (fabric, leather etc.) will release vapours long after they are contaminated.
