Summary
The key aim of this training awareness session was to focus the hazards associated with handling CNI and CNI containing products.
KEY POINTS:
CNI on its own and in blends
– Can cause headaches, nausea and dizziness if inhaled or through skin contact
– Can violently decompose if heated above 100 deg C
– Can violently decompose if mixed with incompatible materials
– Pure CNI and Products with > 15% CNI require specific protection systems to be in place.
Products containing CNI can be handled safely
