Specialty Solvents with Emolliency

ACTIVEMOL GC has a low evaporation rate and moisturizing ability. It also possesses the characteristics required of a wetting agent for cosmetic clays.

The hydroxyl group of ACTIVEMOL GC may be reacted with anhydrides to form ester linkages or with isocyanates to form urethane linkages.

With respect to the latter, ACTIVEMOL GC may be reacted with polyisocyanates such as polymeric IPDI to create multi-functional alkylene carbonates.

Like ACTIVEMOL GC, ACTIVEMOL PC is a solvent with wetting and moisturizing properties, low toxicity, low evaporation rate and low flammability.
