Specsil K-12

Dimethicone (and) Dimethicone PEG-10/15 Crosspolymer

Water-in-silicone polyether modified emulsifying cross polymer combined with dimethicone used to formulate stable water-in- silicone creams and gels containing as much as 90% water.  Should be used in conjunction with Emulsil^® S-397 to obtain emulsion stability. In addition, elegant water-break emulsions can be achieved depending on the level of Emulsil^® S-397.

Specsil K-13

Cyclopentasiloxane (and) Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer

High solids clear elastomer gel with a luxurious feel. Good thickening capability and capable of suspending large particles and pigments. Provides elegant skin feel leaving matte finish on skin. Adds silky softness to skin care formulations.

Specsil K-17

Dimethicone (and) Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer

Good thickening capability and capable of suspending large particles and pigments. Provides elegant skin feel leaving matte finish on skin. Adds long lasting silky softness to skin care formulations.

Specsil K-19

Cyclopentasiloxane (and) Dimethicone Crosspolymer

High solids clear elastomer gel with a luxurious feel. Good thickening capability for suspension of larger particles. Provides an elegant skin feel leaving a matte finish on the skin. An elastomer gel. Good thickening capability for suspension of larger particles. Provides an elegant skin feel leaving a matte finish on the skin.

Specsil K-45

Cyclopentasiloxane (and) Acrylates/Dimethicone Copolymer

Provides long lasting, durable clear flexible film with excellent water and oil repellency. Provides Water, wash-off, transfer and sebum resistance to sunscreens and color cosmetics.

Specsil K-50

Isododecane (and) Acrylates/Dimethicone Copolymer

Cyclic free film former.  Provides long lasting, durable clear flexible film with excellent water and oil repellency. Provides water, wash-off, transfer and sebum resistance to sunscreens and color cosmetics.

Specsil K-51

Cyclopentasiloxane (and) Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer

Popular clear elastomer gel compound with a luxuriously dry after-feel. Leaves a matte finish on skin with a talc-like after-feel. Used in skin care preparations. Volatile cyclic diluent for fast dry time.

Specsil K-56

Diphenylsiloxy Phenyl Trimethicone

Used extensively in hair care and lip care products for superior shine due to high refractive index and spreadability. Light, greaseless after feel on hair and skin.

Specsil K-57

Phenyl Trimethicone

Used extensively in hair care products for superior shine due to high refractive index. Light, greaseless after feel on hair and skin. Provides gloss to lipcare products.

Specsil K-71

Trimethylsiloxysilicate

Easy to disperse, 100% silicone resin. Provides durable transfer and wash off resistance when the resin is plasticized correctly.

Specsil K-78

Cyclopentasiloxane (and) Trimethylsiloxysilicate

Specsil K-78 combines a high molecular weight silicone resin and cyclic volatile silicone fluid with a low D4 level.  Used in skin care, sun care, color cosmetics and hair care applications.  Specsil K-73 forma a long lasting, water resistant film on the skin and hair surface.  An excellent choice to obtain water foundations, mascaras, and sunscreen formulations when long lasting wear is desired. Low (<0.1) cyclotetrasiloxane.

Specsil K-79

Dimethicone (and) Trimethylsiloxysilicate

Silicone resin delivered from a dimethicone carrier.  Provides excellent water, wash-off and sebum resistance. Formulated to have a target viscosity of 700 cSt  for ease of use.

Specsil SPD

Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer

Specsil SPD is a non-ionic aqueous dispersion of 2 micron, amorphous silicone elastomer powder. This dispersion offers ease and flexibility when formulating an elastomeric powder into water based cosmetic products, eliminating the need for homogenization. Specsil SPD provides unique properties in final formulations. Specsil SPD provides wrinkle veiling benefits via its micronized particles. When used alone or in combination with other materials it works to minimize the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles without agglomeration.
